i had the strangest dream just now, okay: i was in a van with my boyfriend (driving), my brother, trent from daria (in a previous dream i was good friends with jane lane from daria, i think it's the 5 seasons i downloaded recently :V) and a few other people that i made up. we stop by the pet store in the mall and everyone goes out to the back to see the animals besides me, then my boyfriend comes out with a green patched cat and, well, we can't afford the cat, we just wanted to look at him, but the russian owner comes out, grabs the cat, and says that it would cost more for the cat to live, so i tell the guy to make up the paper work. while he's back there, i see a buster keaton pamphlet which totally gave me the heads up to steal the cat, which i do.
we get to the van and as we're driving into the night, i turned to my boyfriend and i asked him what we should name the little guy, then the cat sneezes on me and says "STEVEN", but in sneeze form. cute! anyway, we decide to go back to the mall (really, self? can't think of anything else to dream?) and the guys see me with the cat and a chase scene ensues! suddenly, i turn into a hunter s. thompson-esque person and i ask my brother for the goddamn van keys, then he denies me and tells me to "catch the space ship instead" and gives me a key. i go out into the parking lot where i see two asian kids tell me to follow them, which i do. i get to a garage on top of a hill where a government official is waiting for me, but i push him so that his leg gets caught. i wait in the garage for a while WHEN THIS STELLAR SHOW OF LIGHTS AND COLORS AND FLASHING IMAGERY TAKES PLACE WHICH I CAN NOT EXPLAIN, BUT IT WAS WONDERFUL and the aliens land. the two asian boys are, of course, aliens in disguise. i show them the key, but they leave without me anyway and i wake up holding a rope to keep my balance, because i was floating in space with nothing but the garage FRAME and a clock that said 11:11 on it.

http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2008/07/scent-of-me.html I still can't believe that this is the man that created the most popular cologne of my junior high years.
The name and actual person meant nothing to me at the time but all the kids at Stonybrook wanted to be wearing Lagerfeld.
We were not dressed very cool but we smelled great!

| On the Street.....The Impact of Mens Accessories, NYC |

http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2008/07/on-streetthe-impact-of-mens-accessories.html The women's accessories business is huge because of the impact the right bag or sunglasses can have on a total look.
We don't often hear/notice that same impact in menswear.
Well, here is a great example of a few small accessories having a major impact on a look and totally changing the perception of that look.
By simply adding a silver cuff, highly stylized sandals and a dramatic hair style; this gentleman has taken a basically preppy look and turned it on it's head.
Of course the proportions of the polo and the rolled shorts also impact the look but the first thing i noticed were his accessories.
